Last week right before Boo at the Zoo weekend, I spent the morning walking around the Zoo taking pictures. The sun was shining like is so often our wonderful situation here in El Paso and many flowers were in bloom. We definitely qualify as a botanical garden and are now officially called the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
This post is a celebration of a beautiful day at the Zoo featuring our amazing animals from around the world. We are so fortunate in our city to have a great Zoo that not only helps us enjoy life and connect with nature around the world, but is also actively involved in helping people learn about conservation and helping to save endangered species.

Zoo Visit Tip
Make plans to come to the Zoo soon. For the best wildlife viewing opportunities plan your next visit when there are fewer people on the walkways and our animals are more active on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings when the zoo first opens at 9:30am. Try to come before the first freeze so you can enjoy some of our flowers too.
