
Do you love the outdoors? Like to learn more about the outdoors? Don’t mind sharing some of your time improving the outdoors? If so, the Texas Master Naturalists program can be perfect for you.
What is it? It is a state and federally supported program that provides volunteers training and opportunities for learning about, helping to preserve, and sharing our natural environment. The training starts with 14 weeks of lectures from 6-9 on Thursdays along with 6 one half day Saturday field trips. Classes are taught by leading experts in subjects such as Archaeology, Geology, Biology, Weather, etc. focusing on the wonders of the El Paso region.

Graduates become qualified to volunteer in state and local parks as well as a multitude of opportunities across the region. There are so many choices that it is easy to find things that meet your personal interests. Volunteers who contribute 40 hours per year become Certified Master Naturalists.
Master Naturalists have a meetings at 6:30 on the first Wednesday of each Month. Every meeting includes an interesting program further enhancing our knowledge of the natural environment and meets the annual 8-hour training requirement.
