Make a difference in the kitchen

Next time you run to the store and buy paper towels consider stocking up on cloth towels instead. Most paper products we buy start off as a tree and every time we cut down a tree we impact the world’s storage capacity for carbon. Carbon in the atmosphere is causing climate change and cutting back on carbon emissions is critical to reversing the high percentage of carbon surrounding our planet. One way to understand this reality is to think of how CO2 acts like a big blanket in the sky trapping heat and warming the planet.

Did you know that collectively, boreal forests lock away an estimated 703 gigatons of carbon in woody fibers and soil? Tropical forests, by comparison, store about 375 gigatons of carbon.

We would love to share some of your pictures and stories about how you are making a difference cutting back on paper products. You can easily contact us.
