Keep you cat indoors!

Please HELP native wildlife and extend the life of your cat by remembering to keep your cat indoors!

You might have heard the news… Animal Services, El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens and the Petco Foundation have teamed up to bring a first-of-its-kind cat exhibit/adoption center to the El Paso Zoo.

To help the Zoo save wildlife and endangered species it is important that we all know that each year domestic cats kill 4 BILLION birds and countless small mammals.

Option One:

Living outside is dangerous for cats and they live longer if kept inside as there is no risk of traffic, predators, severe weather or parasites.     Your best option is to build them a “catio” which is an outdoor play area that is protected from predators getting in or your new cat from getting out.

Option Two:

Have your cat outside ONLY when supervised.

Join the El Paso Zoo and El Paso Animal Services in keeping your new pet indoors and safe…for many years to come.
